WOYWW 608 - cutting and sticking

Good morning on another grey day in Pembrokeshire.  I am not getting out of the house every day at the moment - and missing my daily walks.  We didn’t really have any snow - just ice with a slight dusting.  We actually went out yesterday (I put make up on!) - to view another house and collect groceries from Aldi (they are doing Click n Collect now).  We are now progressing further with the purchase of the house that we had our offer accepted on at the beginning of December - getting quotes for full survey, as it is an older house.

My crafty table is still covered by the notebook holder kit I showed last week, but now it is in progress.  I retrieved a paper pad that was a members’ gift from Create & Craft and got my trusty ruler out.  Very satisfying - measuring, cutting and sticking (and deciding which papers to use).   Started doing the notepad holders themselves, and thinking of doing some stencilling and heat embossing on the notebooks.  I will show the finished collection next week.

Stay safe everyone.

Oh that is very pretty paper! I have not looked at any of the TV shopping channels in ... 2 years? A long time! Now you make me think I have been missing something. Drat! Look forward to seeing your notebook holder finished.

Happy WOYWW - NOT at the hospital today but with a thumping headache yet determined to WOYWW nonetheless! Best day of my week…

That's a cute pad - I bought one but gave it to mum for Christmas as she loves owls. Hope you get a good survey!! Happy WOYWW, stay well, stay safe, Cindy xx #8

I laughed out loud at the fact that you put make up on!! I don’t remember the last time any mascara graced my eyelashes and I usually applied it every day! Lovely selection of papers there, I really do like the grey/soft pink combo, no wonder you’re enjoying using it.

Hello, Ali!
We don’t get out much either, currently! Just to buy groceries every couple of weeks.
Moving will be exciting! Do you have a date yet? Our house is actually too big fo us now. Filled with more family when originally purchased. We have talked about downsizing but my husband says I have too much stuff! And that is just in my craft room!
Stay safe and well
Happy Wednesday!

Pretty papers! I like the idea of the notebook holders so I look forward to seeing them. Are you buying two houses? We ended up having to take our welsh house off the market because they had over priced it and been really poor at communication etc. With all the lockdowns it was getting hard to find someone else and go through the whole reappraisal thing so we took it off and will try again when things settle. I hope yours all goes smoothly! Stay safe and keep smiling, Lisa-Jane #10

Ali, I know all will be happy when you can get back out safely again! I can't imagine not being able to go on walks and enjoy visits! Such a sad time worldwide, to be honest! Your papers are so pretty, I love the color combos! And I LOVE Aldi! I spend way to much when I go, so I try to do it often! Ha Ha! Stay safe and hope you can get a walk in soon! Blessings, Felicia #28

Hi Ali, oooooohhh very pretty papers, they're going to make a beautiful project, looking forward to seeing the end result. I'm not getting out every day either, though I promised myself I would, I just want to hibernate right now! Good luck with the survey, fingers crossed for you. Annie C #27

Very pretty papers, Ali. I'm afraid I've got frightfully lazy these days about putting make up on! We just aren't going out and I can't be bothered at home! I must say (again) how much I love your new blog. It's so pretty an attractive and I just love how the daisies grow up around the bottom of the page!

Thank you for visiting. Very interesting that cabbage affects your IBS but broccoli and spinach do not! I'm glad you are able to enjoy some greens, anyway. I was misdiagnosed with IBS for many years until I had the first colonoscopy in 2013 when they discovered it was ulcerative colitis. In the early days when I first developed symptoms in my 20s they told me to eat bran and it made things a million times worse!! I am just glad to be rid of the whole colon business now, although I have other issues to deal with instead.

Hope you manage to get your daily walks again soon.

Happy belated WOYWW,

Congrats on the house finding ~ Yes a full survey from a reputable company would be best on an older home (and find your own not whom the real estate agent suggests necessarily!) Enjoy creating your notebook and the weekend! Love, Karen#32
