WOYWW 609 - diamond painting on a smaller scale

Happy WOYWW.  What is On Your Workdesk Wednesday is our weekly tour around crafty workspaces, wherever they are.  Join in HERE.

It is early morning (woken by a random allergic reaction, which makes me sneeze), so I am showing the crafting I did on the sofa last night.  I needed to send a card and found this beautiful butterfly design in my pile of diamond painting cards.  It was really quick to finish and looks great.

I do have some scrapbooking planned for this week (waiting for a kit to arrive, which has stash and instructions for at least 6 layouts) and also that notebook holder to finish (was ill this weekend, so no crafting happened).  Otherwise I continue with my larger diamond painting canvas.

Hope that everyone is well.

RIP Captain Sir Tom.

Oh wow. That little painting of Captain Sir Tom is so lovey and heartbreaking. Trying to explain to my daughter that he was 100, had a great and inspiring life, the no one lives forever...well, it was just sad to say it and I was as heartbroken as she was. She just kept saying "But I just did a school project on him. How can he be dead?"

Your butterflies are lovely and very sweet as a small standalone item.

Happy WOYWW to all!

I didn't know they did smaller card version of the diamond painting! Oh heck, now look what you've done... Looking forward to seeing what your scrappy classes inspire. I'm assuming our Go Go for March will be a box of lovely stash instead of the retreat - we have to make sure we purchase sufficient snacks to recreate the retreat experience! Stay safe and keep smiling, Lisa-Jane #2

Captain Tom did a brilliant job didn’t he? An amazing life which didn’t peter out but finished with a bang, fantastic chap! The diamond art is really getting popular at the moment, the butterflies are really pretty - hope you have fun with the new LOs as well.

What a pretty card!! I often get woken up early with cramp, and it's a toss up whether to get up and craft or try and get back to sleep. So sad to hear about Captain Tom, but think what a lot happened in his last year! Awesome. Happy WOYWW, stay well, stay safe, love n hugs Cindyxx #19

The diamond painting butterfly is gorgeous, Ali. I have never seen this technique "in the flesh" and don't really know how it works, but the results are certainly impressive.

So sad about Captain Sir Tom, isn't it. However, he's had such a good innings at 100!

Happy WOYWW,

I've never been a fan of the diamond painting, but that butterfly may just convert me - I've found a lovely octopus design on Amazon that is quite tempting (and will look lovely in the bathroom when we've finished it. Well, started and finished it LOL).

Thank you for visiting my blog this week, Ali, even if you weren't joining WOYWW. I hope you are feeling OK, and that your online business is thriving! Happy belated 50th birthday - very poignant that it was on the day Shaz left us. I look forward to seeing your collection of Shaz's work. She would certainly have appreciated what you were doing on that particular day. I am glad you liked reading my memories of her.

Happy belated WOYWW 611,
